Jake stresses that a huge part of being a
community-devoted business is “educating yourself in your industry”—which he’s
done by “going green,” as he put it, with waterborne paints that lessen
hazardous waste and reduce volatile emissions by up to 80 percent. “Our
community is health conscious and environmentally aware,” agreed Karen and Jake,
who are both passionate about industry advancements.
The Hoovers’ community-mindedness doesn’t stop with
auto repair and towing. They’re also deeply involved in multiple civic and
charitable events evidenced by scholarships, sponsorships, and organization
contributions such as “no-charge” repairs on the local fire department’s
emergency equipment and custom painting of the high school football team
helmets.
With repeat
customers and word-of-mouth assertions that they always get an honest deal, Karen
stated, “Our customers know they can establish a connection and trust with
us—and they get a high level of quality and reliable service.”
And according to Jake and Karen, the service starts with the front office
personnel that are “stellar at customer service” and “always ready to fulfill a
customer’s extra-special requests.”
