Celebrating their 35th anniversary on December 5,
Town and Country Liquors owned by Peggy Schwartz, is better than ever. With an
expert staff, customers are assisted in choosing the perfect beverage for any
occasion. Replete with everything from Hudson Valley local wines and spirits to
your standard tasty fare, Schwartz takes her commitment to good service even
further by offering weekly wine tastings —Fridays and Saturdays 4-7pm—, web
updates when rare or hard-to-find items become available, and personally
hunting down your requests. No ordinary liquor store this, the “spirit of
community” abounds, “We participate
in the ‘Return the Favor’ veterans program because we want to acknowledge and
thank the women and men who did so much for the rest of us.” says Schwartz. Additionally, as co-chair of the
Saugerties Chamber of Commerce she participates in the Chamber's Business to
Business discount program, is involved in Old Timers' Day and annual Bed Race,
Saugerties Holiday in the Village, and the annual Fall Art Event, this year
called “Shine on Saugerties.” Schwartz also offers services in party planning, wedding registry, private party
wine-tastings, gift wrap, gift certificates “Check back frequently.”
