The Carpet Store and Warehouse
Family-Run Carpet Store is “Hands-On” in all Facets of
Customer Service
When John Parisio and
business partner Dan Ferraro opened Rosendale’s Carpet Store and Warehouse in
1979 they were solely a carpet retailer. However, always wanting to keep in
touch with community needs, the store eventually evolved to include an
extensive range of coordinating flooring products with a commitment to the
environment and residents’ desires. They now offer the latest in “green” floor
coverings, such as Marmoleum (a floor covering
made from renewable materials)—along with
cork and bamboo.
Chris
Parisio, John’s son, joined the company in 1990 and explained the transition: “In
order to be competitive you have to diversify. We wanted to be a full
service flooring store, and for people to know if it goes on a floor—we have
it.” Chris added that the store offers the best quality brands of carpets and
area rugs, and hardwoods. According to Chris, they stock more than any other
flooring store in the entire Hudson Valley. The family also deals with many
local commercial projects such as the Rosendale Elementary School, which they’re
making ready to house the Rosendale (and possibly other municipalities)
governmental offices.
Still concentrating on customer
service, Chris said, “We take pride in the fact that when a customer calls our
store they talk to an owner. We take the time to address all questions and
concerns to the best of our ability. We’re hands-on from ordering to
installation.”
“We must be doing something right—and
treating people right—to be in business for 34 years and still going strong,”
said Chris and his father. John stressed that customer service is still their
number one priority.
