When
it comes to what a customer wants when shopping for new glasses and the “eye
candy” they can be, I have to speak
in the first person as I just had personal experience at Vision Excel Eyecare
and it was beyond my imagination.
Not
only was the customer service amazing—the runway-worthy medley of frames
fabulously fashionable—but the latest rage in choosing eyewear is now available
to the community! It’s called the Visioffice
that according to optician/owner Glen Pomerantz can measure for the most
custom-made digital lenses on the market—and also demonstrate lens materials.
This state-of-the-art technology
allows one to see photos and videos with numerous frames on. Patients can now
put on four styles and see stills and videos of exactly how they appear. If
you’re like most people you’ve experienced the trauma and indecision of which
frame silhouette or color looks best. And looking in a mirror isn’t the same as
seeing yourself on a monitor just as someone else observes you. Worse yet—for
those who are nearsighted—it’s a vicious cycle as you take your glasses off to
try on frames and you’ve lost your vision just when you need it to make a
selection!
Pomerantz detailed the joyful
statement he hears most often about this new technology: "This is
fantastic; I could never see how the frames look when I take off my
glasses." And, on the medical side Vision Excel has two Doctors of
Optometry—Dr. Ellen Schaefer and Dr. Melvin Guzman who also do specialty
contact lens fittings and treat or co-manage for various eye diseases.
